New York State Assembly

The New York State Assembly is the lower house of the New York State Legislature. The Assembly is composed of 150 members representing an equal number of districts.  The website provides up to date information about bills, legislative reports, committees, and assembly members.

 

New York State Senate

The New York State Senate is considered the upper house in the New York State Legislature. It has 63 members each elected to two-year terms. There are no limits on the number of terms one may serve.  Find your senator on this site and share your views on important issues.  The site also keeps the public up to date on bills, senate members, and issues important to residents of NY State.

 

Supreme Court of the United States

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is the highest federal court of the U.S.  On this site, one will find opinions, rulings, oral arguments, and case documents.  Also included are the histories and traditions of the Supreme Court as well as instructions on visiting.

 

U.S. House of Representatives

The U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate make up the two chambers of Congress. The House has 435 members, the number representing each state is determined by population. This is the official page of the U.S. House of Representatives.

 

U.S. Senate

The United States Senate is the upper chamber of the United States Congress, which along with the United States House of Representatives—the lower chamber—composes the legislature of the United States.  In addition to helping one stay informed of Senate proceedings, the website also lets one explore the Senate’s collection of paintings, sculpture, graphic art, and decorative art representing the history of the institution, the Capitol, and the nation.
