Story Times for all ages are offered regularly throughout the year. Story Times provide a variety of language and early literacy experiences for parents and children. Download Story Time Helps (pdf).

Mother Goose Story Time

Mondays July 9th – August 6th at 10am

A program for infants and toddlers up to 18 months that includes stories, nursery rhymes, songs, language games and play. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are encouraged to help the child participate in the activities at a developmentally appropriate level. Parents and children can spend time socializing before or after the program.

Simply Stories

Stories and songs for children 19 months to 3 years of age and their caregiver.

 

Stories and Stretches

Thursdays July 12th – August 9th at 10am

Stretch your body and mind with this story time which includes movement and stretches. Ages 2-5.

Investigation Stations – Ages 3-5

Mondays July 9th – August 6th at 6:30pm or

Wednesdays July 11th – August 8th at 3:00pm

Children and parents participate in group activities, including stories, music, and games followed by hands-on activities at the stations. Parents participate with their children to expand on the experiences and connections presented at the stations. Books, materials and activities are also available for families to use at home. The Investigation Stations are open for use by parents and children during regular library hours. Registration is required for activity groups due to limited space.

 

Stories and STEM – Ages 4-6

Tuesdays July 10th, 24th, 31st, 7th, and 14th (note – no class on July 17th, but program has been extended by a week) at 2pm

Learn basic programming and problem solving using simple robots and stories.  This is a screen free activity.

 

Waggy Tales Book Club

Summer book club is going to the dogs! School-aged kids entering grades one and up, will read together, discuss the books, make doggy inspired crafts, read to two fabulous dogs and have a dog-gone good time.
